Let your kiddos experience this time-honored joy by visiting one of our area’s splash parks! Most also include a playground or pool, for extra fun in the sun. Make sure to bring lots of water, snacks, sunscreen, water shoes and a dry change of clothes for them to wear home. Let the splashing begin!
Lincoln Splash Park

Located just north of the Manatee River off of Route 41 in Palmetto, Lincoln Park offers a perfect place for the kiddies to cool down! This fenced-in splash park has a lifeguard on duty during splash hours. In addition to the large splash pad, there’s a playground and multiple bathroom facilities, as well as an outdoor shower.
Riverwalk Family Fun Zone and Splash Pad

This splash pad, along the Braden River, is a great place to take the whole family. It sits between two large playgrounds, one for younger kids and the other for bigger children. There are many benches available for sitting and a large grassy area suitable for laying out a blanket for a picnic. A family could spend hours and hours here during hot summer days! The only drawback is there are no shady areas to sit and watch the littles splash and it can get quite hot in the sun.

GT Bray’s 4,000 square foot splash park is located within the aquatic complex. It’s fenced-off from the rest of the pools; next to a shaded picnic area. There are all sorts of spraying arches, a mushroom with continuous cascading water and a nice, 2-ft wading pool for small children. If you have older kids, they can enjoy the big pools, diving boards and water slides, while your little ones play in the splash area. Locker rooms and vending machines are available. Entrance fee includes splash park, pool, gymnasium, fitness center, wellness orientation, game-room/teen center, racquetball, tennis (hard courts only), and pickleball.
Pride Splash Park

Pride Park has a beautiful 2,500 square foot splash park with a life guard on duty during open hours. With 14 different splash structures, your little ones will cool off and burn a whole lot of energy splashing around! There are picnic areas and bathrooms available, as well as a large playground where the kids can run around.

At this huge, 3,000 square foot splash pad kids wait in anticipation of the topple buckets dumping water over them and skip through the many spraying streams. Parents can enjoy dipping their feet in the shaded wading pool, while watching their littles play. Older kids will enjoy the large pool and diving board. Concessions and a shaded picnic area are available for when you get hungry.

This unique splash park has many sprayers set all around adorable animal structures on which kids love to climb. Bayfront Park boasts a huge playground, many shaded areas with picnic tables and O’Leary’s Tiki Bar and Grill, so your family could spend an entire day here and not get bored!

In downtown Sarasota, the splash area at Payne Park is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a unique place for your kids to cool down this summer. Your toddlers will delight in running through the sprinklers and misting sprays in this colorful, circus-themed park. When you get hungry, you can hit the café for a bite to eat. Bring your stroller and take the kids for a little walk around the half-mile path around the park. Your older kids will enjoy the skate park or frisbee golf course.

The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, formerly known as “The Rec,” has been a community anchor for more than 60 years. Pool features include Zero Entry, Splash Pad Zone, Small Slide, Large Slide, Jacuzzi Section, Lap Lanes and plenty of outdoor seating and access to locker rooms. Lifeguards are on duty. Their state-of-the-art facility also features a fitness center, game room, computer lab, picnic shelters, covered playground and more!

Opened in 2016, this is one of the newest splash pads in our area. Kids can run through the spraying fountains for hours in the hot summer sunshine. There’s a playground adjacent to the splash park and restrooms that are open during splash park hours. Spend the day picnicking with the family, utilizing the outdoor grills and shaded pavilions.
Centennial Park Splash Fountain

Centrally located in downtown Venice, you can’t beat Centennial Park for a fun afternoon where you can cool down with your kiddies in the splash park. This park offers an ADA accessible gazebo, picnic and benches where you can rest from the summer heat. The park offers many events and concerts throughout the year and also features a veteran’s memorial.
