The Sarasota YMCA has been listening and responding to our communities’ most critical needs for over 70 years. From early learning to diabetes prevention, youth sports to swim lessons, after school care to a youth shelter, counseling to summer camp, and foster care and adoptions, the Y continues to affect lasting change in Sarasota.
By building a culture of philanthropy to meet the community needs, the Y is also on the forefront of preventing chronic disease through programs such as Diabetes Prevention, a small group for adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes; Livestrong At the YMCA, a 12-week initiative for people affected by cancer; Biggest Winner, to help people develop helping people develop healthy habits; and Pedaling for Parkinson’s, a cycling class to increase motor skills. Programs like these help Ys find and assist people most in need in our community.
As a nonprofit organization serving over 50,000 people annually, the Y never turns anyone away due to their inability to pay. We’re for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
The Manatee YMCA offers state of the art fitness facilities, pools, more than 150 group exercise classes, personal training, swim lessons, summer camp, youth sports, free supervised KidZone, and more at our three locations in Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Parrish. And each day in Manatee County, the Y supports kids, adults, seniors and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish and encourage.

F45 Training is a team-based, functional training facility that places a huge emphasis on the ‘three key factors’ of motivation, innovation and results. At F45 (the F stands for functional), no program is ever repeated, making every workout a unique experience. Our studios all over the world offer a 45 minute High-Intensity, Circuit Training workout class for our studio members. We have developed 27 different 45 minute workouts, with more currently in development. Our studios offer the same class at different times throughout the day. Every day throughout the week offers a different 45 minute workout. The workouts are created by the F45 Athletics and Peak Performance Department from a database of over 3,000 different exercises, so our members never get the same workout twice. An F45 workout has trainers on the floor working with each individual on form, technique, modifications, and motivation. It’s personal training in a group setting!

Orangetheory Fitness is a 1 hour full body workout where each class focuses on endurance, strength, and/or power. We use high intensity interval training which burns more calories post workout than traditional exercise. Our members wear heart rate monitors to track their progress in real time during the workouts. Intensity is based off your individual heart rate zones, making the workout effective for all fitness levels. Our coaches are there to help prevent you from over/under training.
